Out of Chaos, Ensemble 21's CD of Jason Eckardt's chamber music

Mode recently released a recording of Jason Eckardt's chamber music, including After Serra, Tangled Loops, A Glimpse Retraced, and Polarities. Featured performers include Marilyn Nonken and saxophonist Taimur Sullivan conducted by Paul Hostetter and Jeffrey Milarsky. Praised by The New York Times as "celebrat[ing] harmonic prickliness, rhythmic complexity and a density of ideas," the music on this much-anticipated disc is Ensemble 21's second recording, the first being David Rakowski's "Sesso e Violenza" for New World Records (formerly CRI 820).
